Photography is my source of creative inspiration.  In our modern hustle-and-bustle society, we often miss out on many of the fascinating details that pass by us on a daily basis.  By capturing and studying these details in photographs, I believe it’s possible to gain insight and perspective about our fellow global citizens and their diverse cultures.

 

When I’ve shared my photos with friends and family, the resulting discussions have been fascinating as people often interpret my photographs in completely different ways than I anticipated or intended.  This has taught me there are often many unique perspectives from which to capture a given subject and that the best photo is often not the most obvious.

 

Over the past dozen years, I've progressed from using a simple "point & shoot" camera to a range of DSLRs and lenses.  Self-taught, I've read extensively on photographic techniques, studied other photographers, and shot tens of thousands images to develop the skills I have today.  I travel often, for work and pleasure, and always tote my camera gear along.   This means that I'm constantly growing my collection of work using inspiration from a variety of places around the world.
